ASFusion Mate for Flex, a new framework for Flex

Mate, from ASFusion is a new framework for Flex developers that attempts to address the many perceived flaws in the Cairngorm Framework. It's too early to tell just yet, but I'm very seriously considering bringing my Cairngorm investigation to a close and pushing further ahead with Mate. I've been very impressed in the week I've had with it so far.
Week one of my investigation into the Mate framework has gone very well. With a few tweaks from the ASFusion people, I’ve got a test application up and running with full .NET thread security. I’m still finding the new framework a bit confusing, but I am finding it promotes much better semantic code than Cairngorm ever did.
I found Cairngorm very tough going, there was always a lot of grind and boiler plate code to be implemented to achieve relatively little. By contrast, I’m finding Mate quite the opposite, a little code in the right places goes a very long way. In under a week, I’ve produced more complex test applications with much greater ease than I ever did using Cairngorm.
