Full Google Calendar integration on the Mac version of Thunderbird & Lightning

Having enjoyed using a fully integrated Google calendar on my PC using Thunderbird/Lightning, it puzzled me when I couldn't find a Google calendar option whilst adding a remote calendar on the Mac? Best I could get is a read only version using the iCal connector. Or so I thought...

Having recently converted to a Mac, I’ve been busy looking to recreate my familiar PC work environment. One of the things I’d missed was the complete Google calendar integration that my PC version of Thunderbird/Lightning enjoyed. The Mac version only offered iCAL and this was read only.

Having spent a while looking on Google, I came across a download from the Mozilla website, a specific Google Provider for the Mac version of Lightning. Why this isn’t part of the Mac lightning package I’ve no idea, but if you want a fully integrated Google calendar on your Thunderbird/Lightning then download this:
