Earlier today, Google released a new web browser promising a revolution in speed, stability and safety.
We've just tested all our sites on this newest of browsers, and even those we created 3 years ago work perfectly. This is what happens when you build websites that conform to the W3C standard.
We were cautiously optimistic that Google Chrome would render all our sites, past and present perfectly. They did say it would be compatible with CSS2.1 and XHTML, and this is the minimum standard we apply to all our sites.
We recently performed the same test on Firefox 3 and Apple Safari 2 and got the same result.
Some of our most recent websites have contained dormant features (CSS 2 & 3) waiting for next generation of browsers like Firefox 3, Safari 2 and Google Chrome to take advantage of them.
You can Get Google Chrome (BETA) direct from Google.
Microsoft will no doubt be working furiously on IE8 to try and catch-up, let’s hope this time they get it right.
