Just a quick update, so far so good! This really has been a very enjoyable experience.
The existing HTML website had 5 sections, and I've managed to convert 3 of them to Flex/Mate without any issues so far.

I don't enjoy programming anymore, it's frustrating and tedious; This has been my mantra for a good few years, but I might be about to change my mind! Having just spent a solid two days in the presence of Adobe Flex and ASFusion's Mate framework I've suddenly got the urge to do some programming!
In two days, I've managed to rework a section of a website that took me weeks to develop in HTML. This obviously isn't directly attributable to Mate, I think Flex has to be thanked for that. However, where Mate helped, and indeed positively shined, has been that its enabled me to effortlessly control my applications work flow and data without getting in the way.I think I'm a Flex convert, and with the aide of the Mate framework, perhaps now tedium and frustration are a thing of the past.
