The Mills Archive - Family History
Posted: Jun 2009, Matt | In: News | Leave a comment
We're going to be starting work very shortly on an exciting package of extensions for the Friends of the Mills Archive Trust. The work will include a new membership subscription centre, and the addition of a new Family History database.
The subscription centre will allow Friends of the Mills Archive Trust to subscribe to membership packages, which in turn will give them privileged access to the sites premium content and databases, not to mention discounts in their on-line shop!
The most exciting part of the project will be the inclusion of the Family History Database which at present contains nearly a quarter of a million records. The Family History Database will be maintained by a team of family historians working in close partnership with the Trust, but this treasure trove of family history information will be made available to the general public.
With a fair wind, these extensions will be delivered towards the end of 2009.
If you, or anyone you know, might be interested in assisting the Mills Archive Trust in developing and maintaining their family history Database, please get in touch with Ron Cookson through the Friends of the Mills Archive Trust website.
